NestForge is an independently developed Windows desktop application for structural steel nesting, cut tracking, and heat traceability. This policy covers the desktop application and nestforge.trade.

Local job information

The app stores imported part and material information, quantities, stock, nesting plans, cut records, labels, and heat records on your computer. Job backups, archives, and exported reports are local files. NestForge does not upload these records to a developer-operated service. You control where you copy, back up, or share them.

Job files and PDF reports are not encrypted by NestForge. Protect your Windows account, storage, and backups. Editing an original NC1 file with the built-in editor saves to that source file and creates a local recovery copy.

Optional Gmail access

Gmail is optional. When you connect an account, NestForge requests Gmail read-only and send permissions. Read-only access supports searching and displaying messages, reading message contents and headers, and downloading attachments you select. Send access supports messages, replies, and report attachments you choose to send.

These permissions cover the connected mailbox; they are not limited to NestForge-related messages. NestForge does not request permission to delete messages, change mailbox labels, or access Google Contacts. Its quick-link address book contains contacts you enter yourself.

How email information is used and stored

The desktop app communicates directly with Google over HTTPS. It displays retrieved messages in the email workspace and retains connection tokens, account details, saved draft text, locally entered contacts, and email preferences in a local encrypted email vault. This vault is protected by your chosen PIN and the current Windows user account. Email attachments you save and PDFs you export are separate local files and are not protected by that vault.

Mailbox content and Gmail credentials are not routed through this website or a NestForge developer-operated email server. Reading email does not automatically mark it as read. Messages are sent when you use the app’s send action.

Sharing and Limited Use

When you send an email, its contents and selected attachments are transferred to Google for delivery to your chosen recipients. NestForge does not sell Gmail information, use it for advertising, or use it to train AI models. The developer does not access your mailbox through the app. If you email support, the information you choose to send is received and used to respond to your request.

NestForge’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Disconnecting and removing information

Sign Out clears the app’s saved connection and draft and attempts to revoke its Google token. Remove Account deletes the local email vault, including saved account information, app configuration, preferences, and locally entered contacts. Removing an account does not delete your Gmail account or messages already sent, downloaded attachments, exported reports, or job records.

If you remove the account while offline, or reset an inaccessible vault, also revoke NestForge’s access through your Google Account connections when online. You can connect again later. Local job records, reports, and backups remain until you delete them or use the app’s job-management functions.

This website

This site has no account login, advertising, analytics scripts, or tracking cookies added by NestForge. It does not connect to Gmail. Cloudflare provides website hosting and delivery and may process IP addresses and request information for delivery and security under its privacy policy. Email links open your chosen email application.

Changes and contact

Changes to this policy will appear here with an updated date. A materially different use of Google information requires updated disclosure and any required renewed consent before that use begins.
